Conference interpreter, translator and professional language teacher
A career marked by languages and professional pressure
Growing up in beautiful Hildesheim (Germany), I was influenced early on by a family with a love of languages. My father was a language teacher and president of the Hildesheim–Angoulême exchange committee, which meant that intercultural exchange always played an important role in our home. In my youth, I also spent a lot of time with my family in England, which further deepened my interest in languages and other cultures.
After graduating from Goethe Gymnasium Hildesheim, where I specialised in three languages – English, French and Spanish – I went on to study interpreting at Heidelberg University, the University of Valencia and the University of Ottawa. These experiences not only broadened my linguistic horizons, but also deepened my understanding of cultural differences and international communication. In 2005, I successfully completed my studies with a diploma (equivalent to today’s Master’s degree).
Since 2006, I have been working as a professional conference interpreter, translator and language teacher. My work covers a wide range of topics, including the automotive industry, medicine and labour law – a diverse field in which I can apply my passion for language, precision and communication on a daily basis.
